Reflecting
on what I know (chapter 9)
1.
1. How
can my students use multimedia for their projects?
v One
lesson our class have been working on is the continents. We were studying
different animals from each continent. The class could have done a presentation
using multimedia to share pictures, videos and information about each animal.
v Our
class is planning a trip to the Aquarium and beach. We have been studying
animals that live in the ocean. I think that a power point presentation would
be wonderful for them to use to share their experience with the class. They
could include pictures that were taken, videos and include narration to
describe what was going on.
v Doing
story time, we read the story the three little pigs. The children were put in
groups and they made mask and drew pictures of their houses and had a student
out of each group to be the wolf. Using multimedia the students could create a
movie of the reenactment of their version of the story.
2.
2. What
applications are available for creating a multimedia presentation?
Our computers have the following
programs: Windows movie maker, DVD maker, Microsoft word, Microsoft PowerPoint.
3. 3. Should I place limits on how my
students use multimedia? I think in lesson three the
children would need the most help with the trip to the beach. I think the video
part would have to be already on the computer and allow the students to pick
parts of the video to include.
